Costa Nova, Portugal

Costa Nova is only a small town which is still an active fishing village but its charm is the colourful candy-striped wooden buildings of all shapes and sizes which line the main street through the town. These buildings which are like beach huts are known as Palheiros and whilst most are used as holiday homes some are permanent residences. There are also really interesting traditional tiled buildings mixed in.

Denia is an attractive beach town with lots of outdoor activities 1 hour 20 minutes from Alicante airport and 95 km from Valencia. It’s a good place to visit any time of the year as it stays open, unlike some other touristy towns.  It has 20 km of long sandy beaches and rocky coves.

Carnival week, Wells Next The Sea, Norfolk

This pretty and very quaint town has huge character and it really is a perfect location for a day to the seaside or to visit for a relaxed laid-back holiday. It has something to offer everyone. We always visit Wells during the carnival week as its jam-packed with, mostly free entertainment. There is live music, film on the green, lots of kids entertainment and so much more.
