From Split, we travelled just half an hour up the coast to Trogir.  Last year we drove through Trogir on our way to Split and I thought at the time that it looked a nice town and made a note to come back to stay.

The road leading up to the campsite was quite narrow.  Our motorhome is quite big and passing other big vehicles on this road was a bit hairy, to say the least.  Our sat nav had told us that there was not a “camper route” up to this campsite but did we still want to go. We pressed yes and wondered why it said that at the time and obviously it was because the road was so narrow.

The campsite, Rozac auto camp, was in a small village called Okrug which is on a peninsula and this road was the only one coming off and on.  There was quite a traffic jam the day we left and hate to think what it must be like in the height of the season.

The campsite was worth it though as we were surrounded on both sides by the sea.

The side we camped was by the marina, and as you can see from the photo we couldn’t get much closer to the water, which we loved, and the other side looked out to a beautiful beach.

From the site, it was just a short walk to several beach bars and restaurants which were great places to sit with a drink watching the sunset of an evening.
